Founded in 1970, James Cook University is based in Queensland and has campuses across the State. This includes its principal one in Townsville, as well as an international presence. The Townsville campus is in a parkland setting in the suburb of Douglas. The campus has full facilities including on site student accommodation, library, cafes and sporting clubs and societies. Townsville is on the door step to the Great Barrier Reef and all the study and research opportunities that that brings.
